I started in the corporate world as a CPA but discovered my real passion was helping people and companies grow. Beginning at Ernst & Young and later at Dimensional Fund Advisors, I gained invaluable insights into how successful organizations operate. However, it was my natural ability to build trust, develop talent, and create positive workplace cultures that shaped my career trajectory.
The transition from pure accounting to people-focused roles happened organically while working at an outsourced CFO firm, where I served high-growth companies like Giphy, Casper, and Away Luggage. Recognizing my natural talent for relationship building, senior leadership asked me to step beyond my accounting role to help revitalize the company’s struggling recruiting and culture initiatives. My success in this area led to recognition as a top manager, with my direct reports advancing at twice the rate of their peers.
Most recently, as Director of Culture & People at an experiential agency, I fully embraced my passion for creating an environment where team members felt genuinely valued and heard, contributing to the company being continuously named one of Austin’s Best Places to Work.
I’ve seen it all – from tiny startups to huge public companies – and I know how to blend solid operations with what really matters: building great teams and cultures.
I love digging both into the high-level strategy and nitty gritty details of HR processes – whether that’s making sure your payroll runs like clockwork, making hiring and onboarding smoother, or developing programs that help people grow in their careers. I can fine tune systems to keep things running smoothly while making sure the human touch isn’t lost. I know firsthand that your business is only going to thrive if you have a workplace where great people want to stay and grow.
